A healthy snack will be provided by 4 p.m. and when students arrive from after school activities. Weather permitting, all students not in an after-school activity or the Homework Center will have at least one outdoor recess on the playground.
Pre-Kindergarten through grade 1
The youngest students will be located in one of our Pre-K and Kindergarten classrooms for snack and indoor play. This gives the younger students the ability to play and work in an early childhood environment.
Grades 2–8
Students will have a choice between Homework Center or Extended Day, located in lower school classrooms. The Homework Center, available only for the first hour after school, and have quiet time. Extended Day is a more lively environment where students can socialize, participate in art projects, educational/learning games, or free choice. Students may transition between these rooms as appropriate. Various community-building events such as attendance at home sporting events will also be planned throughout the year.
No contract is needed to participate in Extended Day. Parents are welcome to use the service on an as-needed or drop-in basis.
